The Manitoba Association for Resource Recovery Corp. (MARRC) concluded its most successful Ambassador Program yet since its inception in 2010.
Our Ambassador team attended 22 trade shows, exhibitions and fairs, which also included participation in 8 parades as well. The main focus of the Program was to engage with visitors by highlighting the importance of recycling.
11,038 individual surveys were obtained from visitors approaching our booth. Our survey educated individuals on how our program operates as well as informing them of the location of their nearest used oil collection facility.
MARRC believes in helping Manitobans recycle all Stewardships products so we partnered with 3 other Producer Responsible Organizations (PROs) to distribute their brochures and information as well namely:
Call2recycle – a free and easy way for people to dispose of old batteries and cell phones
Clean Farms – helps recover and recycle agricultural and related industry plastics, packaging and products
Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) – facilitates the safe management and disposal of unwanted medications and medical sharps.
MARRC rented 2 minivans for the Ambassador program which were wrapped with colourful advertising for used oil & antifreeze recycling and also included our sponsors’ logos on 3 sides of each vehicle. They were very well received at each trade show and parade we attended.
